The Staff Development Center (AB-217) is divided into a lounge and lab that are available as collaborative work spaces for staff. Drop-in support is available with DVC's Distance Education Team. Campus Map
The lounge has two large meeting tables for group discussions and smaller work spaces for individuals. While this space is primarily available for impromptu staff work and collaboration, you can reserve this space for your needs through 25Live. (Max 21 people) Looking for a space to meet with students? For privacy reasons, faculty-student conferences are best held in faculty offices or in our Library Study Rooms.
The lab is a work space with four Macs, nine PCs, a scanner and phone. Please note: printing is available in Division Offices, the Library, our Student Centers, or (for jobs larger than 10 pages) through the DVC Print Shop.
The lab is available for drop-in users, but the overhead projector and some computers can be reserved through 25Live for small work groups and trainings.
Drop-in support for Canvas, Zoom, and online instruction is available remotely through our Digital Learning Lab Monday through Friday. You can also make an individual appointment with one of our Online Coaches or Accessibility Ambassadors. (Note: you must be signed into Canvas to access the Digital Learning Lab.)
An email reminder is sent each Monday with the current schedule, including sign-up links to weekly workshops on pedagogy and ed tech tools. Also watch your email for our monthly DE Newsletter!
