Jacob Van Vleet

Faculty - Humanities/Philosophy, Pleasant Hill Campus

Having taught at Diablo Valley College since 2006, Jacob Van Vleet joined the humanities and philosophy department as a full-time professor in 2016.

His academic interests include Eastern and Western comparative philosophy, ancient Greek philosophy, and the philosopher and theologian, Jacques Ellul. He is the author of Dialectical Theology and Jacques Ellul (Fortress Press), Informal Logical Fallacies: A Brief Guide (Hamilton/Rowman & Littlefield Books); co-author of Jacques Ellul: A Companion to his Major Works (Cascade Books) and editor of Jacques Ellul: Essential Writings (Orbis Books).
