Information and Updates: DVC Career Academies Summer 2020 Interest Card


Learn from successful industry professionals by enrolling in BUS-104-1061/9071 - Exploring Careers in Business Administration. Experience hands-on application of business techniques, skills, and knowledge. Learn about business management, accounting, marketing and more. Students will develop a business plan using current business practices such as teamwork, problem solving, and communication.

June 24-28, 2019 - Pleasant Hill Campus

July 29-August 2, 2019 - San Ramon Campus

Hours: 8:30am- 4:30pm

Diablo Room, 3rd Floor of the HSF building, DVC Pleasant Hill Campus

Cost: High school students pay ONLY $1.00 per unit.
College credit:

BUS-104-1061 (Pleasant Hill Campus): Earn 1.5 unit college credit and 3.75 units of high school credit.

BUS-104-9071 (San Ramon Campus): Earn 1.5 unit college credit and 3.75 units of high school credit.

Special Admissions Recommendation Form

  • Fill out and have signed by your high school principal before school gets out for summer
  • Hold on to this signed form until you receive an email stating you have been accepted into the Career Academy
  • Once accepted, you will be able to turn in this form starting June 2019 at either the Pleasant Hill or San Ramon Campus
  • Campus Hours: PHC - Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm and Tuesday 8:00am-7:00pm; SRC - Monday-Thursday 9:00am-6:30pm *Closed Fridays
Who can apply: This course is appropriate for students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 for Fall 2019
  • DVC does not provide meals; please make sure to pack your own lunch and snacks.
  • Because this class gives college credit, students must attend everyday for the whole time or they may receive a non-passing grade for the class on their college transcript.
