Culinary Camp


Learn from successful industry professionals. Apply skills and knowledge in DVC's state-of-the-art culinary facilities. The Culinary Camp offers an exciting overview of current and emerging career opportunities in the hospitality and culinary industry. Students will receive hands-on training in culinary techniques, skills and knowledge. Discover the latest in sustainability, farm-to-table, urban farming, and science in the preparation of food during this five-day long camp.

Interested students must complete the registration packet below and enroll in CULN-100-2079.

Dates: June 18 - 22, 2018
Hours: 7:30 am - 4:15 pm
Location: DVC Pleasant Hill Campus
Cost: $46.00 per unit. High school students pay ONLY $1.00 per unit.
College credit: CULN-100-2079: Earn 1 unit college credit and 2.5 units of high school credit.
Requirements: None
Who can apply: This course is appropriate for students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 for Fall 2018; however it is open to all post high school students.
Notes: Because this class gives college credit, students must attend everyday for the whole time or they may receive a non-passing grade for the class on their college transcript.
Limitations: Limited to 36 students.
Registration steps:
  1. Create a CCCApply account.

  2. Use your CCCApply username and password to log-in and fill out a DVC application.

  3. You will receive a DVC ID number via email once your DVC application is processed. (might take up to 24 hours). This ID number is a 7-digit number with NO letters.

  4. Use this ID number to fill out the Special Admissions Recommendation Form and obtain all required signatures. Fully complete all forms available below.

  5. Email, mail or drop off all below forms (Except the Special Admissions Recommendation Form) before May 29th to be eligible to register. Email to or drop off at the Workforce Development office, AB 121.

  6. Once your other forms are submitted, and you have been accepted into the camp, take your completed Special Admissions Recommendation Form to the DVC Admissions and Records Office to sign up for the class between May 29th to June 7th for 11th and 12th graders. PLEASE NOTE: 9th and 10th graders will be able to register on June 12th & 13th.


    PLEASE NOTE: Admissions and Records will not be open on Fridays starting June 1.

    Open Mon, Wed, Thurs from 8:30am-5:00pm, Tues 8:30am-7:00pm

All camps fill quickly; we encourage you to enroll early!

Help with the DVC application: DVC enrollment lab is open M, W, Th from 8:30am-5:00pm, on Tuesdays 8:30am-7:00pm, and on Fridays 8:30am-1:00pm (please note the enrollment lab will not be open on Fridays starting June 1st).
