F-1 international students traveling to the U.S. with an initial I-20 for fall 2021 must be enrolled in at least one partially in-person or fully in-person course in order to enter and stay in the U.S. for the fall semester. This is required by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).
It is your responsibility to maintain your F-1 nonimmigrant status while you are in the United States. The International Student Office (ISO) at Diablo Valley College (DVC) is available to help you understand the various immigration laws and regulations that affect you as an international student in the United States. If you have any questions about your visa or your status, please see the Designated School Official (DSO), at the ISO office.
