Early Childhood Education at San Ramon

The DVC ECE Department provides students and staff employed in Early Care and Education Programs and Transitional Kindergarten classrooms with a full offering of relevant courses to meet ECE Certificate and Associate Degree requirements, Child Development Permits, the TK Teacher ‘24 ECE units’ requirement, and the Infant Toddler course state requirements for infant toddler care. 2020 course offerings - all available online for the first time

Registration is open now! Fall semester courses start August 24th and end December 13th.

New or returning students apply for admission to DVC and then check your new Insite account for your Student ID# and registration directions.  Tuition is $46 per unit.

The following ECE San Ramon based courses have openings!

  • ECE 124 –9045:  Child Development and Psychology -3 units
  • ECE 125–9047:  Principles and Practices of Early Childhood Education - 3 units
  • ECE 130-9262:  Child, Family & Community – 3 units
  • ECE 231-9123:  Infant and Toddler Development – 3 units
  • ECE 123 –9009:   Introduction to Curriculum in Early Childhood Education - 3 units
