Safety on the DVC Campus

The CCCCD Police Department is the law enforcement agency for Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill and San Ramon. The college Safety Committee ensures information and training is available to all employees. Their focus is on the prevention of injuries and preparation for emergency response. Training is a joint effort. The Safety Committee, District Human Resources, District Maintenance and Operations, District Police Services, and the college managers all participate.

In Case of Emergency

An emergency is any situation with an immediate threat to life or property, and action or assistance is needed.

Campus Police

The Contra Costa Community College District Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill and San Ramon.

Maintenance and Operations

Please call the office if you are experiencing an emergency so we can dispatch someone as soon as possible. 

Safety Tips

These safety tips give you the right attitudes and actions to protect yourself, your belongings, your fellow students, and your campus. Campus safety depends on everyone.

Police Services Escort

Student staff members and/or police officers are available to escort students to and from their classrooms on the DVC campus. Call police services to arrange for an escort to meet on campus. This service is available on a first-call, first-served basis to all students and staff. Pleasant Hill: 925-969-2785 San Ramon: 925-551-6212

Student Right to Know (Title IX)

Title IX protects all people regardless of their gender or gender identity from sex discrimination. This includes sexual harassment and sexual violence, such as rape, sexual assault, sexual battery and sexual coercion. 

Student Code of Conduct

Diablo Valley College respects and protects the diverse interests and goals of all students and all student organizations. Further, the college provides the highest-quality learning and working environment for our community. The student code of conduct identifies and discourages behaviors that conflict with the building of a safe, strong and just community.

Great Shake Out

The Great Shake Out is a nationwide event that provides an opportunity for Diablo Valley College to test our level of readiness in the event of an earthquake or other catastrophic event.
