This course will provide an overview of educational pathways to a healthcare career as well as real world experience of working in the health care system.
Emergency Preparedness and Public Health will be heavily addressed and explored through guest speakers and lectures. A strong online certification component (FEMA, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, NFHS, etc.) will be included, and an intensive and comprehensive practical-based laboratory will explore clinical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
This class is designed for students preparing to enter college and provides basic skills and perspective for educational and career considerations in the field of healthcare.
