PACE offers four Associate Degrees for Transfer. See below for sample course sequences.

  • Are you interested in law, justice, and public service? This program provides you with the knowledge and skills to enter a career in numerous criminal justice and public safety careers such as law enforcement officer, investigator, juvenile counselor, correctional officer, and many other sworn or civilian positions in public service organizations. You can also pursue legal studies and a pathway to a law degree. Credit for previous police academy courses may be used to replace some ADJUS classes (see DVC counselor/ADJUS department chair for more information).

    DVC’s psychology program is a great start! This program gives you the tools to understand yourself and others. You will learn how to critically evaluate psychology studies, why people think, feel, and act the way they do, how to increase happiness in yourself and others.

    This growing field has many uses in virtually every aspect of life. It is a great path for anyone interested in a career that helps others and gives back to the community.

  • Do you want to learn how society influences the way we think, feel, and act? DVC’s sociology program is a great start! Sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. In this program, you will learn to analyze society by applying sociological concepts and theories, developing critical thinking and research skills, exploring complex social issues. Students will explore a wide range of social topics, including: gender, race and ethnic relations, families and relationships, deviance, culture and the media, politics and social movements.
