Welcome to Diablo Valley College’s Community Education program!

It is our pleasure to serve the central Contra Costa County community by offering classes and programs that provide you and your family with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop.

We have programs for our youth (College for Kids and College Prep Academy), ages 50+ (Emeritus), professionals looking to obtain a new set of skills quickly, or for those who just want to take a class for fun (Community Education).

Community Education classes are for your personal enrichment and professional training needs and are available to anyone who registers online or with our office located in the ground floor of the library on the Pleasant Hill campus, Room L-146.

You do not need to be a credit student at the college. Classes offered through Community Education are not funded with tax dollars. Your enrollment fees keep this valuable program going.

Our mission is to provide affordable and enriching programs to enhance the lives of our community.  We are a fee-based, not-for-credit, program, with classes that last from one day to several weeks.

Our classes are conveniently offered at the DVC Pleasant Hill and San Ramon campuses, John F. Kennedy University, Rossmoor and online.
