Jeffrey Pollock

Jeff Pollock is an Assistant Professor of American Sign Language (ASL), overseeing the ASL program. As a Deaf person with over 30 years of experience teaching ASL at the high school, community college, and university levels, Jeff brings a wealth of linguistic and cultural knowledge to the classroom. He holds a M.Ed. degree in Higher Education Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah. As a former nationally certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI), Jeff has established and taught in ASL/English Interpreter Education Programs in Utah and California. He is especially supportive of students pursuing interpreting as a career path. In his free time, Jeff enjoys outdoor sports including snowboarding, mountain biking, and whitewater paddleboarding.
