We are here to help all DVC students transfer from DVC to four year colleges and universities, with a specific mission to identify, contact, and provide transfer support services to targeted student populations with a priority emphasis placed on African-American, Chicano/Latino, American Indian, disabled, low-income, and other underrepresented students. Career and Transfer Services is staffed by counselors, classified staff, and student workers who all work together to bring our students the most current and up to date information in the areas of career and transfer. Want to learn about our diverse and dynamic staff? Visit our staff page!
Successful transfer students take advantage of all the resources the campus has to offer, attend transfer workshops, gather information, visit the Transfer Center early and often, and meet with counselors and visiting university representatives to create individualized transfer plans. Students are invited to meet with a drop-in counselor for quick transfer questions during any of our open hours.
Transferring this year? View the Application Dates and Tasks page to learn about transfer deadlines and how to apply, access our Canvas Resource page for in-depth transfer application tutorials and timelines, sign up for our monthly e-mail newsletter and/or follow us on social media to know about workshops and events, university updates, scholarship opportunities, and more for DVC transfer students!
We'd like to hear your story. Each year the Transfer Center updates DVC’s Transfer Success Directory, which is an in-house list of DVC transfer students to 4-year universities who are willing to share with current/future DVC students about their transfer experiences after DVC. Add your information to DVC’s Transfer Success Directory here.
