The FYE Program offers workshops that help first year students build essential skills and strategies to help them thrive academically and personally throughout their college journey.
This week's topic - P.I.E. Paragraphs with Prof. Jay Jackl.
P.I.E. Paragraphs are the building blocks of every argumentative/research essay in college, and they are crucial for short-form writing assignments. They help writers effectively convey all the information and assertions needed to be a persuasive, compelling, and thoughtfully organized writer. In this workshop, students will learn how to write and format P.I.E. Paragraphs, and how to use them in an essay or shorter writing assignment.
This is part 1 of our 3-part collegiate essay writing series but can be taken alone.
