Foster & Kinship Care Education

DVC’s Foster and Kinship Care Education program supports foster, adoptive, and relative caregivers with education and resources to meet the needs of children in foster care, fostering safe, nurturing family environments.

Mathematics

The DVC mathematics program provides a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and techniques, preparing students for transfer to a four-year university or careers in fields such as engineering, computer science, economics, and education.

Plumbing

Earn a wage while learning! DVC offers a five-year apprenticeship program in plumbing. Get hands-on training for an occupation that's always in demand.

Steamfitting

The steamfitting program offers apprenticeship and teaches installation, maintenance, and repair of steam systems, preparing students for careers as steamfitters and related trades.

Ethnic Studies

DVC does not yet offer an ethnic studies degree or certificate, but it does students prepare for upper level degrees in ethnic studies, social justice and LGBTQ studies.

Computer Network Technology

This program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to design, install and maintain computer networks. Get well-prepared for careers in network administration, information and communication technology and cybersecurity.

Art History

DVC’s art history program is a great start to a variety of careers in the creative industry. Learn how to research, execute long-term projects, and analyze visual information. Gain a broad range of analytic strategies applicable to the study of art.
