The college officially began offering classes in 1949 and the name Diablo Valley College was adopted in 1958. We've come a long way since those humble beginnings, enrolling over 1.5 million students since 1949!

EOPS/CARE + CalWORKs & Foster Youth Services

EOPS/CARE, CalWORKs and START+NextUP are programs to help disadvantaged students overcome obstacles to their success in college. Each program is designed for students with specific needs/backgrounds.
