DVC’s Addiction Studies program is a great path for someone wanting a career in addiction counseling, rehabilitation, social work, human services, substance abuse and recovery.
DVC does not yet offer an ethnic studies degree or certificate, but it does students prepare for upper level degrees in ethnic studies, social justice and LGBTQ studies.
EOPS/CARE, CalWORKs and START+NextUP are programs to help disadvantaged students overcome obstacles to their success in college. Each program is designed for students with specific needs/backgrounds.
