Using TimelyCare Telehealth Services


Learn how to access TimelyCare telehealth services below.

  • TimelyCare offers FREE 24/7 medical and mental telehealth services for all current students as part of the DVC Health Services program. This service is funded collaboratively by Associated Students of Diablo Valley College and the college.

  • The TimelyCare telehealth service is available for currently enrolled DVC students 18 years old and above.

  • When you're feeling sick or overwhelmed, you can talk to a licensed Medical providers can diagnose common conditions (such as a cold, flu, or sinus infection). Mental Health providers offer scheduled counseling sessions and TalkNow service which gives students a safe space to talk about topics such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or depression.

    Scheduled counseling offers up to twelve 45-minute sessions and unlimited TalkNow 24/7, renewing each academic year.

    TimelyCare Counselors can offer support for:


    • Stress and anxiety
    • Adjustment issues
    • Relationship issues
    • Depression
    • Grief and loss
    • Trauma and PTSD
    • Alcohol misuse/abuse
    • Panic disorders and more.

    Licensed providers are available to diagnose non-emergent medical conditions, prescribe medications and offer mental health support via phone or secure video visits.

  • TimelyCare has no limits for MedicalNow, Scheduled medical appointments, and TalkNow services. Scheduled counseling is limited to 12 sessions every academic year (August 1st through July 31st).

  • Yes, student privacy is followed as outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). TimelyMD privacy statement.

  • Our technology was built to be accessible anywhere in the world that has a stable internet connection. If you are outside of the U.S. in a country without internet restrictions, you may be able to access TalkNow (immediate emotional support) by using a U.S.-based VPN or US-based phone number. TalkNow is the only service that may be available internationally.

  • To register for TimelyCare services follow these steps:

    • Visit the TimelyCare homepage.
    • Select the "Sign In" button at the top.
    • Sign up using your
      • FIRST AND LAST NAME as they appear on your student ID,
      • your DATE OF BIRTH,
      • and your .edu SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS to verify account eligibility.
    • Create your password.
    • Agree to Terms and Conditions.
    • Select the "Sign Up" button.

TimelyCare is an independent company that provides virtual health care visits for college students and works hand-in-hand with on-campus resources.

The TimelyCare telehealth Initiative was offered for one year by ASDVC in collaboration with Diablo Valley College and the college has fully funded year two.

  • If you are on campus and feeling overwhelmed, stressed, upset, or need to check in, you can come to Counseling and let the front desk staff know you want to do a "crisis drop-in." We will do our best to have a wellness counselor connect with you. The Counseling Center is located on the second floor of the Student Services Building on the Pleasant Hill Campus and in the Administration Building at the San Ramon Campus.     DVC also offers a Wellness program with support from the Wright Institute. Wellness counseling is available in person at both the San Ramon and Pleasant Hill Campuses, as well as online via Zoom.

    Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Resources
  • The Community Dental Hygiene Clinic provides low cost, high quality dental cleanings to the local community. As this is a teaching clinic, students enrolled in our Dental Hygiene programs will be conducting the evaluations and cleanings.

  • Overdose can happen anywhere. Narcan Nasal Spray is used in the event of a suspected narcotic (opioid) overdose. Diablo Valley College is proud to provide Narcan (Naloxone) nasal spray and testing strips to all DVC students. The Narcan Nasal Spray can be accessed at the Pleasant Hill Campus Student Life Building and the San Ramon Campus Learning Commons. Naloxone online and Canvas trainings occur throughout the semester and are open to all. Check the DVC events page for more information.
