FAFSA deadline

The 2018-2019 FAFSA is now available online. Apply today to see if you are eligible for financial aid.

2018-2019 FAFSA (for summer '18, fall '18, spring '19, and summer '19)

  • Application Open: October 1, 2017
  • Priority Deadline for Cal Grant: March 2, 2018 (all CA resident/AB-540 students) and September 2, 2018 (CA community college students with 24+ units completed)
  • Deadline: June 30, 2019

CA Dream Act Application

The 2018-2019 California Dream Act Application is now available online.

  • Application Open: October 1, 2017
  • Deadline for Cal Grant: March 2, 2018
  • Deadline for CA Promise Grant: June 30, 2019

Apply today to see if you are eligible for financial aid. DREAMers must complete the CA DREAM Act Application by March 2 to qualify for the Cal Grant. Applications completed after March 2 will still be considered for California College Promise Grant (formerly Board of Governors Fee Waiver) eligibility.

Cal Grant GPA Verification Form deadline

To be considered for a 2018-2019 Cal Grant award, you must have completed both the (1) FAFSA or DREAM Act Application and (2) the GPA Verification form by March 2, 2018. The Admissions and Records Office can help you with filling out the GPA Verification form or, in some cases, submit your GPA electronically.

If you missed the March 2 deadline, there is a second deadline of September 2 for students who are planning to attend a California Community College. Submit the required forms before the September 2 deadline to be considered for the Cal Grant. Please note, there are a limited number of September Cal Grants available. Apply as soon as possible.

Financial aid payment schedule

For information regarding financial aid disbursements refer to the 2018-2019 Financial Aid Disbursement Calendar.  Please note that only students with complete files that have been sent an award notification may receive a disbursement. You can check the status of your application through InSite.

Don't forget to select how your would like to receive your financial aid refund (disbursement)!  You have the option of depositing funds into a personal bank account, depositing funds into a BankMobile Vibe account (once opened), or receiving a mailed paper check.  To learn more or to sign up visit www.4cd.edu/bankmobile.


All financial aid students are required to check their DVC student email account through InSite on a regular basis in order to receive notifications, file status updates, announcements, and further instructions from the Financial Aid Office.
