We are now processing the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and 2021-2022 California Dream Act Application. To determine which application you should submit, review the descriptions below and click the application link to get started.
Online tutorials are available 24/7 to walk you through the financial aid application process at DVC Financial Aid TV. We also offer FAFSA and CA Dream Act virtual workshops and in-person support during Financial Aid hours in the Enrollment Lab.
If you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you qualify for aid such as grants, work-study, or loans.
If you are an undocumented student, who qualifies for AB-540 status, you should complete the California Dream Act Application to see if you are eligible for grants.
If you are interested in a DVC scholarship, you will need to complete the DVC Online Scholarship Application during the application filing period. There are also external (non-DVC) scholarship opportunities that you can apply for, if you qualify. Almost every external scholarship will require its own application.
Work-study is a great option for students looking for additional ways to help pay for college. You can find out if you qualify by completing the FAFSA and following up with the DVC Financial Aid Office through a drop-in appointment.
All financial aid students are required to check their DVC student email account through InSite on a regular basis in order to receive notifications, file status updates, announcements, and further instructions from the Financial Aid Office. Follow the link for instructions on how to check your financial aid status through InSite.
