DVC Online Tutoring: NetTutor

Free online tutoring is available to all DVC students, in most subjects, during weeknights and weekends!

DVC is piloting online tutoring through NetTutor for the spring, summer, and fall terms in 2018. During this pilot, students will be limited to five hours of tutoring per term (most students use between 15 and 20 minutes per session). Please contact your instructor if you use all of your time to see if additional time might be available.

Types of tutoring:

We offer different ways students can meet online with a tutor:

  • Ask NetTutor: Connect to a live tutor for immediate assistance, in real time.
  • NetTutor Q and A Center: Drop off a question and receive feedback from a tutor.
  • NetTutor Paper Center: Submit your paper, lab report, or technical writing for review.

Math and English/Writing tutoring is available from 5pm-10am Monday through Friday and all day Saturdays and Sundays (from 12 am Saturday to 11:59 pm on Sunday). For all other subjects, tutoring is available in the evenings and on weekends based on NetTutor’s schedule, which can be found in the NetTutor link on Canvas.
