Sociology

Public Health

The public health program prepares students to promote community health, prevent disease, and pursue careers in health education, advocacy, or transfer to four-year schools.

Psychology

DVC's psychology program builds critical thinking skills and explores human behavior, preparing you for a rewarding career helping others and improving community well-being.

Political Science

The political science program explores government, politics, and policy, preparing students for careers in law, public service, and advocacy or transfer to four-year schools.

Plumbing

Earn a wage while learning! DVC offers a five-year apprenticeship program in plumbing. Get hands-on training for an occupation that's always in demand.

Physics

Explore physics, the foundation of physical sciences and technology, with applications in solar power, medical imaging, and careers in labs, hospitals, and beyond.

Philosophy

Philosophy sharpens critical thinking and understanding of self and humanity, preparing you for careers in education, law, and writing, and fulfills CSU/UC transfer requirements.

Nutrition

DVC's nutrition program covers microbiology, anatomy, and how nutrition impacts health and fitness, preparing students for careers in health and wellness.
