DVC's environmental science program offers interdisciplinary study across scientific disciplines to develop a deep understanding of sustainability in all its dimensions.

Economics

The Economics program provides a strong foundation in economic theory and principles, preparing students for careers in business, finance, and public policy.

Engineering

The DVC Engineering program provides a foundation in engineering principles, preparing students for transfer or entry-level careers in civil, electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering.

Ethnic Studies

DVC does not yet offer an ethnic studies degree or certificate, but it does students prepare for upper level degrees in ethnic studies, social justice and LGBTQ studies.

Education

DVC's education program provides a strong foundation and pathway for students intending to transfer and complete a multiple-subject teaching credential to become elementary school teachers.

Geography

Geography is an interdisciplinary study style program at DVC preparing you to work in private, government or non-profit settings. This growing field has many career options, including geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), social and cultural geography and drone technology.

Film, Television & Electronic Media

The FTVE program welcomes all media creators and can prepare students for immediate employment in film production and post-production, television and electronic media.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVACR)

DVC's heating, ventilation, air conditioning & refrigeration (HVACR) program prepares you to become a HVACR mechanic & installer. You'll have the skills and knowledge to get employed after graduation.
