Film, Television & Electronic Media

The FTVE program welcomes all media creators and can prepare students for immediate employment in film production and post-production, television and electronic media.

Engineering Technology

Engineering Technology provides students with insights into industrial tech requirements and provides hands-on experience to develop entry-level job skills. Subjects include civil design drafting, machining, industrial maintenance and mechanics, CAD, industrial automation and robotics, rapid prototyping and 3D printing.

English as a Second Language

DVC offers English as a second language (ESL) classes to help you with your English speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Computer Science

Computer Science offers a diverse range of classes covers current popular topics and emerging software development tools and languages. Subjects include C++, Java and Python programming, computer architecture and program design. These courses offer working professionals an opportunity to enhance their skills.

The Associated Students of DVC advocates for and represents students' perspectives on college and district committees, councils and task forces.

DVC students excel at the 2021 CLTAC Chinese Speech Contest!

In March 2021, students from Diablo Valley College participated in the 45th Chinese Mandarin Speech Contest which was held virtually. The contest is hosted by The Chinese Language Teachers Association of California (CLTAC). CLTAC is the largest nonprofit association of its kind in the country with a mission to promote the study, teaching, and research of the Chinese language and culture on all educational levels. Its annual Mandarin Speech Contest boasts of a long history since 1960s. It has become an annual pageant of Chinese education in the region. The event was sponsored by Monterey Bay Chinese Association, Cheng & Tsui, and Foreign Language Association of Northern California (FLANC).
