Career Closet

The DVC Career Closet enhances career readiness by providing free professional attire to help students successfully transition from community college to rewarding careers in the workforce.

All current DVC students are welcome to make an appointment and visit the Career Closet. We have professional clothing for students to choose for the next upcoming interview and career fair.

Shopping Experience

During your Career Closet appointment, you'll browse the Career Closet and pick out your items to compose your professional outfit that you get to keep for free.

Please Note: We do not limit the amount of times a student can visit the Career Closet per academic year. We do require students to complete a Mock Interview or Resume Review appointment before scheduling their third visit to the Career Closet.

Pop-Up Events

Career Services will be hosting a Career Closet Pop-Up event every first and last Wednesday of the month in SSC 232 from 2pm - 4pm.

Donate to the Closet

We are accepting donation of clean and in good conditions items to our closet. Donations are tax deductible.

Donation Guidelines

Professional, business, or business causal attire
Reflect current fashion trends (within the last five years)
Clean and ready-to-wear in good condition

Requested Items

Professional shirts, tops, blouses, sweaters, blazers, jackets
Pants, slacks, skirts, dresses
All sizes, especially plus and petite
Fashion for all genders

Items that do not meet these guidelines will be donated to other local organizations or disposed of at the discretion of Career Services staff.
