The DSS office can refer students to a DVC-affiliated agency for learning disability testing. To request testing, please complete a DSS application and mark “I feel I have a learning disability and want to be tested.” Also, please complete the LD screening tool.
Please keep in mind the following:
- LD testing is only available to current DVC students. Applicants must be registered in at least one academic class during the term in which they request testing.
- Testing typically takes 8-10 hours divided over several days.
- Students who have previously been diagnosed with other disabilities (such as ADHD, anxiety, depression or autism) are not eligible for testing.
- Priority is given to students who cannot afford private testing (such as those receiving financial aid).
- DSS does not guarantee testing to all applicants. Spots are limited.
