The District

The Contra Costa Community College District (CCCCD) first opened its doors in 1949. It is one of the largest multi-college community college districts in California. CCCCD serves a population of 1,019,640 people, and its boundaries encompass all but 48 of the 734-square-mile land area of Contra Costa County.

The Contra Costa Community College District includes three community college–Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College and Los Medanos College. The District Office is located in historic downtown Martinez.

Diablo Valley College

Diablo Valley College is one of three publicly supported two-year community colleges in the Contra Costa Community College District. The larger of DVC’s two campuses is located in Pleasant Hill, and the newer San Ramon Campus serves the south county in Dougherty Valley. The college's student body reflects the growing multiculturalism and diversity found in California. The college employs more than 1,100 faculty and staff, and serves nearly 22,000 students each semester at its 100-acre campus. Diablo Valley College has had a significant social, cultural and economic impact on the Bay Area. It enjoys a reputation as one of California's premier community colleges with annual transfer rates to the CSU and UC systems among the top five in the state. DVC attracts a large percentage of students from outside its service area, including a substantial and growing number of international students.

Diablo Valley College - San Ramon Campus

The San Ramon Campus is an officially recognized "Center", providing educational services for those who live and work in the San Ramon Valley, and now serves over 5,000 students of all ages and interests each semester. San Ramon offers general education courses, which allow students to fulfill all their lower division pre-transfer requirements. In addition, San Ramon's extensive computer-training curriculum provides hands-on experience using hardware and software with business applications.

The Position

The Vice President of Business and Administrative Services:

Serves as an Assistant Chief Executive Officer and Chief Business Officer for a college in the District, overseeing budget development, fiscal operations, fiscal accountability, facilities management, major construction and renovation projects, campus information technology, central cashiering, bookstore, business office, campus human resources, campus payroll, campus accounting, custodial, food services, building grounds, maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Provides vision and leadership for a diverse, dynamic and innovative community of managers, faculty, staff and students.

Provides overall leadership in the area of business and administrative services programs, ensuring that the instructional, student, and/or support services programs reflect the educational philosophy and institutional goals of the College and the District.

  • A person with experience in who has successfully led facilities planning, development, renovation, and construction.
Minimum qualifications

Earned Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field AND three years of relevant full-time management experience.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field AND a certified public accountant’s license AND five years of relevant full-time management experience.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field AND seven years of relevant full-time management experience.

$10,888- $13,267 per month. The district offers an excellent benefit package, which includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and a retirement program.
