High transfer rates

DVC has some of the highest transfer rates to CSU, UC and private universities. We offer associate degrees for transfer, Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) to six UC campuses, and additional resources for transfer to private and out-of-state colleges.

Career education

DVC offers more than 30 career education programs and over 75 certificates and degrees that provide students with the educational background and training they need to achieve their career goals. DVC's excellent reputation is a distinct advantage to our students as they compete in today's demanding job market.

International students

Diablo Valley College offers international students a unique and challenging educational experience. We are proud of our commitment to global education and the success of the thousands of international students who have benefited from the excellence of our degree, certificate and transfer-to-university courses and programs. DVC currently has over 1500 international students representing 70 nations.

Degree and Certificate Programs

Degree and transfer programs

DVC offers more than 60 A.A. and A.S. degrees in addition to articulation agreements with University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems, and transfer credit to four year colleges.

Career education

DVC offers more than 40 certificates of accomplishment, and a wide selection of certificates of achievement.

Flexible offerings

Classes are taught in the day and evening in full-term and short-term formats. A selection of day and evening classes are also taught during the summer.

Online and hybrid courses available

Online classes are taught almost exclusively through the internet requiring students to attend very few face-to-face meetings. Hybrid classes use a combination of class meetings and online instruction.

Student Life

Associated Students of Diablo Valley College (ASDVC) is the college student government. ASDVC is open to current students and is responsible for advocating for and representing students’ perspectives on college and district committees, councils and task forces.

The Student Ambassador program was created to help connect potential and current students to DVC campus resources. These student leaders help promote the many opportunities available at DVC.


Paying for College

Whether you plan to transfer to a four-year college or earn a certificate or degree, California’s investment in your education means incredibly low fees for you. No other state can even come close! And no one can provide better career training for less money.

But even our low fees are out of reach for many, so we are here to help you take advantage of all the financial resources that are available. DVC participates in a variety of aid programs including tuition waivers, grants, scholarships, loans, and more! Let us help you find the aid programs best for you.
