Student Ambassador Program
The application deadline for Fall 2024 has closed. Be on the lookout for Spring 2025 opportunities for in January.
Student Ambassadors work under Welcome and Connect Services in the Enrollment Lab and the Proctoring and Placement Center as well as conduct campus tours, represent DVC at various college fairs, give presentations at high schools and more. Student Ambassadors provide insight into DVC from a student perspective by sharing their own experiences.
We look for individuals who are enthusiastic about Diablo Valley College and have a desire to provide peer-to-peer assistance to potential, new and continuing students.
Our hiring process is very competitive. It is highly recommended that you thoroughly review the Student Ambassador overview for specific information about the minimum requirements and commitment needed for the program. Through Handshake, you will need to complete and submit a Student Ambassador application, as well as a one-page typed letter of interest explaining why you are interested in becoming a Student Ambassador. You will also need to be able to provide two references upon request. Positions are available at the Pleasant Hill and San Ramon campuses.

- Log in using your InSite email credentials.
- Complete Your Profile
- Ensure your Handshake profile is fully completed.
- Upload an updated resume and any other relevant documents.
- Search for the Position
- In the search bar, type “Student Ambassador” and filter by choosing DVC.

- Review the job description and requirements carefully.
- Look for the attachments of the documents on the right side of the page.

- Be prepared for possible interviews or additional steps in the application process.
