What are the admission requirements?

  • If you have a high school diploma (or equivalent) or are at least 18 years old, your admission is guaranteed with a completed application! 
  • There is no minimum GPA requirement or SAT/ACT tests. 
  • You will need your high school transcripts and Social Security number or tax ID, if you have one, when completing the application (Social Security number is not required to apply).
  • After you submit your application, we will email you a student ID number and instructions for next steps within 24 hours (be sure to check your spam folder). 

Who needs to apply? 

You need to complete an application to DVC if: 

  • You have never been a student at DVC (or CCC and LMC).
  • You haven't attended DVC (or CCC and LMC) for a year or more.
  • You are attending or have attended DVC (or CCC and LMC) as a concurrent enrollment (High School or K-8) student.
  • You submitted an application for a future semester, but now wish to attend DVC for the current semester. 

I’m not a US citizen or permanent resident. Can I attend DVC?  

Yes! You can attend DVC even if you are not a US Citizen or permanent resident. Follow these steps: 

Is the application process the same for DVC, CCC and LMC?   

All California community colleges share a common application. DVC, CCC and LMC use that common application. 

  • You only need to submit one application to take classes at any college in 4CD.
  • The application that you submit for DVC allows you to take classes at CCC and LMC without any additional applications.
  • Start by creating a CCCApply account and filling out the online application for Diablo Valley College.
  • You can save your application and come back to it at any time. You will have a chance to review your application before you submit it. 

I have a disability. What should I do? 

If you're a student with a disability:

  • First complete the online application to DVC.
  • After you've submitted the application and received your DVC account information, visit our Disability Support Services (DSS) for additional support and to arrange accommodations. 

I’m a veteran. Are there services for me?
