Safety Monitors

Safety Monitors are staff, faculty, and administrators who have been assigned responsibility to assist others during times of emergency.

Safety Monitor training provides for the protection and preservation of human life, property and the environment.

The training consists of:

  • Basic Safety Monitor Training (4 hours)
  • Refresher Safety Monitor Training (2 hours annually)
  • Fire Safety (1 hour annually)
  • Evacuation Chair Training (2 hours annually)
  • ICS 100 Introduction to Incident Command System online course
  • ICS 700 Introduction to National Incident Management Systems online course
  • ICS 800 National Response Framework online course
