Steps for Applying for CalWORKs at DVC

• Apply for Admissions to the college
• Review important facts for your Insite account
• Apply for Financial Aid
• Go to: https://fafsa.gov/
• Turn in ALL missing documents to the Financial Aid office
  Students must turn in your own documents. The CalWORKs office does not submit paperwork for you.
• Apply for and turn in the BOG Fee Waiver

  All Financial Aid questions must be directed to the Financial Aid office. Visit or contact the Financial Aid office at 925-969-2009 for more information.

• Take an assessment test.

  Placements tests are required for all students enrolling in English or Math or in classes that require prerequisites. See the Diablo Valley College Schedule for more information.

• Call or stop by the CalWORKs office to make an appointment to see a coordinator.

  The CalWORKs Office phone number is 925-969-2119. Located SSC-127, 1st floor. Please bring your Welfare to Work (WTW) plan and a valid photo ID with you when you come for your appointment

• Make an appointment to see a Counselor for CalWORKs ed planning.

  The CalWORKs Coordinator can make the appointment for you. At this appointment you will receive an Educational Plan. Make sure and keep a copy for yourself!
