Just as the intricately connected threads of a spider web make it as strong as steel, so, too, do strong ties make you a strong student. Linked classes help students build these ties. As a member of a linked class learning community, you will enroll in two required courses with the same group of students (called a cohort). This cross-class connection gives you a unique opportunity to build community with both peers and faculty while exploring important shared themes from different angles. Additionally, students in linked class learning communities receive special training in the skills they need to succeed.
DVC has a variety of linked classes each term. To find out which classes are linked, check the Learning Communities page of the official term schedule.
